Summer is Here

To celebrate the belated but much appreciated arrival of actual summer weather (while it lasts anyway), Nihonshu Sake Bar will be having our very own little happy hour from 5 to 6pm on weekdays!
We'll have $6 Asahi beer, Choya umeshu and warm house sake on offer to fix those weekday blues... so why not come down, grab a drink and watch the sun set over Lonsdale?
Please note however that the Izakaya Chuji dining menu will only be available from 6pm as usual!
Sake For Sendai

In May 2011, friends and fellow sake-lovers of Nihonshu Shochu & Sake Bar united for one very special evening to raise funds for the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan.
The night of free-flowing sake, beer, pizza and a Wii bowling tournament that ensued helped raise $3000 in aid for disaster relief efforts. This amount has been handed over to the Australian Red Cross For Japan and Asia Pacific Disaster Appeal.
A hearty thanks to all who attended and gave generously! Our thoughts and prayers go out to those still rebuilding their lives after the tragic events of March.
